Ra! Rah! Sis! Boom! Bah!

5 weeks into the Fit Mind Fit Body program and I am seeing so much progress. Give Yourself Credit! is the lesson of the week. Nobody is better at giving credit to themselves than me. That should be your proclamation as well. I am definitely my own best cheerleader. I make up songs all the time that kinda go something like “go me, you can do it, go girl, you can make it”. I started working on a vision board this week. I am all about the words. Words give me life. I had a stack of old magazines and started cutting out words that meant something to me. Better. Tough Cookie. Change. Stronger. Can. Start. New Dimension. Never Stop. Commitment. I put these words and images on a purple background. I hung it on the mirror in my bathroom so I can see it every day. Looking at it reminds me of the road ahead. I chose a picture of Michelle Obama because she has great, toned arms, she is all about the movement and she always talks about staying fit. I don’t know how much she weighs in the picture but media outlets say she is around 170 pounds. My ultimate weight goal is 180 pounds but that goal is 5 years away. When setting goals, I wanted something I felt was attainable…1 pound a week. I stepped on the scales this morning and (drum roll please), I am down 10 pounds! The only 10 anything I have lost is $10. Among everything else good and positive, I give myself credit for setting a goal as it pertains to losing weight. Joining the Fit Mind Fit Body group will give you the tools and skills to stay on track. I am almost halfway through the 12 week Fit Mind Fit Body Program. Learning and looking at myself from the inside out and pushing my body in ways I never have is not easy. But, it is worth and I am worth it.
