No Matter What? Really?

We had a week off with a holiday and only 3 weeks left in the 12 week Fit Mind Fit Body program. Time is moving quickly which gives me even more motivation to stick with it, because time will go by quickly. I know the goals in front of me are a tall order but success is starting to make its way to my door step. I am down 16.1 pounds and boy does that sound good. The week 9 lesson is Follow Your Plan No Matter What. There have been plenty of tempting opportunities to get off track. In the time I have been in the program, I have had a few birthday food experiences and everyday temptation. I have a huge problem with following the plan…I have no plan. Well, let me say, my plan is not so structured. This has been the toughest for me to implement. It would be nice to sit down and plan out meals for the week or even a few days. Heck, if I can get the next day planned, I will be in a better place than not planning at all. But, let’s go back to give yourself credit. I give myself credit for sticking to mindful eating. While there is no definitive plan structure, I am very conscious about everything I eat, the portions I eat and now, the types of foods I am eating. I do keep track and I have on occasion even planned just the next meal. Boom! I break into my running man. After the winded celebration, I realize this is going to be a lifestyle change. I am not going to get it all and do it perfectly. There are times where I feel like I have been blindfolded and ask to find a hidden object in the room. I have stumbled a few times, but what is so great is that now I have a pathway back. I also have the tools so that I don’t have to stay off course long or be blindfolded at all. Everything is here for me to succeed. I am weighing myself every day. It is very easy to see if the scale starts to creep. Not only that, I now have a better mindset and can tell myself that I don’t have to keep going down the path but can dust myself off, get back in the saddle and feel good that I am getting stronger. I have had a few challenges since starting this journey and I know more will come. I am not perfect and there is no expectation to be, but I am following my plan to better health. And I am following it no matter what. Feel free to follow my progress and comment on what tools you use to follow your plan.
