Speed Therapy Event with multiple mental health therapists (speed dating lighting rounds)If you wonder what happens in a psychotherapy session and about who therapists are and why they care to listen to other people’s problems, then sign up by 12:40 pm at the Speed Therapy Event Vendor table in the ballroom. You will have the time of your life as you spend a short amount of time talking to different therapists in speed dating styled lighting rounds. When you sign up for this event, you will be given a list of questions that you can ask the therapists but you don’t have to stick to the list. We also encourage you to take the question list with you and make copies to give to anyone who is looking for a therapist. The speed therapy event hopes to destigmatize seeking help for mental health concerns and help participants to learn how to interview potential therapists and how to make sure that the psychotherapist is a good fit for their needs and concerns.
